Stratégie dernier boss Sailen la ville basse
Voici quelques infos pour tuer le dernier boss du donjon du désert :
tips:
- kill first 3 vines one by one (entire team)
- mage keeps vines frozen + prisoned (the ones at beginning and also the ones that spawn)
- full dps on main boss afterwards (mage should be rotating pots and monk as well)
at first we ran behind the clones (clones don't hit you if you are behind them) then we realized that mages 1 shot clones with aoe (you can't target them)
keep in mind that clones will intesify dmg thats done to you (can be stacked 3 times)
vines do 60 hit points (can be stacked up to 50 times)
towards the end phase, the boss wont spawn clones anymore, instead it starts taking down the casters mana.. (no vines either)
Un mage donne le conseil suivant :
(Mage whats ur spec??.... u look so pro.... if that axe had crit instead of ap it would be fricken awesome)
frozen mind + permafrost
i used frost bolt + cyclone to freeze the vines, frost blast on other times once it comes out of freeze + prison then i frozen mind and do same thing again on other vine (some dps in between)
Pour le moine :
another tip is to have monks get their hp up to about 6.1k-6.2k
Last boss is definitely tricky but it's not the boss that's killing you it's the poison from vines.
So...
First I'd say don't go with 2 divine monks, you wanna kill the vines as quick as possible.
Reason:
Besides the 3800 damage spell that they will do on you when they light green, they will also have a poison effect on you.
Which means you will take 60 damage per sec. Can be stacked up to 50 times! And... they last many many minutes I think 6 minutes.
So speed is the name of the game.
Now, tanking the boss is not the problem, the problem is you will have like 6 poison effects stacked which means you're taking 360 damage every second for enough time to get you killed - that's in case you don't kill the vines super fast.
What you do?
Well there are 3 ways:
First, after each party member dies he/she rune resurrects - meaning poison effects are gone - proceed killing boss.
Second, and someone else mentioned having their mili monk re-speccing to get resurrect, so it serves the idea of the first way - poison effects are gone after you die - proceed.
Third, that's what we did. 1 Uber tank and 2 crazy dps warriors going head to head like there is no tomorrow. Vines were down we had to wait 12 seconds for the boss to come dancing. Poison effects were low for the monk to handle. He prays when the ghosts appear and down down the rabbit hole we go.
Boss will use only one spell on you, not sure what was in it but it reduces your power and can be stacked several times.
So in general there is no tricky moment where you have to stop attacking for self inflicting damage or anything... Just the vine poison is what's killing you - if you are indeed running with a proper team.
One thing monks be advised for is...
Boss tends to take a few steps back every now and then. So if you start tanking him on the vines hill, make sure you are standing on the same height level as everyone else. otherwise you risk prayer not working on someone and they die.
So just follow one of the 3 ways to dealing with the vines poison effects and you're good to pwn.
We've discovered a new trick recently so I thought I'd share it in case players are having some hard time with the last boss.
Get the tank to hold the boss in a way where his back (bosses back) is facing all other party members.
The boss has a routine spell where he launches skulls at party members. By standing behind him he wont be able to hit you.
It's his main and major damage dealer.
However, he will still hit you with a big aoe (~4000 dmg if I'm not wrong) every 2 "skull" spell rotation regardless of your position.
Note that by doing so you reduce over 50% of damage taken than if you were standing in front of him.
Ghosts will hit with the same normal "skull" spell that the boss is always using, so this is where it's easier to have ranged dps's like a mage and a ranger standing behind the ghosts instead of close combat classes like mili monks/sins/warriors.
Either way monk prays on ghost phase and they should disappear before prayer ends, but if poison stacking number is high and the mini vine isn't dead AND you're rolling with 2 close combat DPS classes then it's time to pot big or pray........ to God.
So all party members except tank face boss' back and your life is easier, try it. : )
The freeze tactic helps a lot. Fire mage with 3 points into frost blast freeze chance and flaming mind would rock in the new dungeon if you're looking for fast runs.
The big aoe that he uses will give you about to 2 seconds to see the damage after he uses it so just in case it should be enough for you to know you have to pot to max health.
We used 1 tank, 1 battle warrior, 1 divine and 1 milli. We used a ranger instead of a milli all the way up until last boss, where we ended up wiping 3x before exchanging the ranger with a milli. The problem was the ranger was just way too squishy and not enough HP vs last boss.. and the key to the last boss is survivability over anything else.
And yeah, as others have stated, the main tactics are:
-Kill the vines ASAP. We had 3 DPS focus on each individual vine and move counter clockwise until all 3 were down. Then any subsequent vine spawns was the same case, just kill them as soon as they spawn.
-The monks main goal was to keep herself alive more than anything else.. the tank was actually surviving quite well but the issue was the burst elemental AOE damage that would end up killing the monk. So we had the monk wear some stamina gear to atleast keep her HP high enough to be able to last through burst damage and then heal accordingly.
-Prayer before the ads spawn.. The monk will know when they're about to spawn and always always has to use prayer when they do. If not, then the team wipes. Also, don't waste time tryin' to attack the ads, just prayer and then ignore them and they'll be gone on their own.
One other thing is that thundershout is actually super useful for trash mobs now. Doing damage DOESN'T break thundershout anymore.. so yeah super vital to use on trash mobs.
